Huber International make car park systems. Steel-frame multi-storey car park systems that are extremely quick to construct, cost effective, highly functional and durable. Already successful across Europe, but new to the UK, I was brought in by Huber to help share the quality of their designs, the graphics and colourways to their new UK audience.
The bottom line? Design. Huber’s success is all about design. The smart, colour coded traffic engineering, the clear graphics – even the way that the exteriors blend into the existing landscape and environment.
My challenge was to communicate the function and the form of the designs in an interesting way. As is usually the case, my first task was to identify the best viewpoints. Something I was able to achieve on recognizance trips to new car parks in Wigan and Stafford. Once optimal shots had been determined we were set to go.
You’ll notice that quite a number of the shots were taken during the evening. The thinking behind this was simple – atmospherics. Playing with the light, experimenting and adding a sense of atmosphere is the perfect way to inject an element of interest in subject matter that might not be the most gripping at face value. Multi-storey car parks for example.
Great looking images and innovative multi-story car park design shared vividly and effectively.
