Red Snapper News Bites 05.06 - Inside Out!
Back at number OneRegular client Dinosaur Advertising & Design commissioned us to revisit Argent Properties' flagship project One Piccadilly in Manchester to shoot some images for a new 20 page direct marketing brochure they were producing to attract new tenants. The brief was to create shots that would attract bohemian, eclectic, unusual companies to the area, so it was vital that the images captured the vibrant, bustling nature of One Piccadilly along with current tenants and their colourful, trendy businesses. The client requested day and dusk/evening shots to show how the personality of the district changes through the day, from busy shoppers to the trendy after work crowd. Our challenge - as frequently happens - was the weather. March in Manchester was cold and grey, people stayed indoors and when they came out were well wrapped up and far from 'vibrant'. We're nothing if not up for a challenge, so a degree of improvisation and staging was required to get the shots the client needed. The client was delighted with the end result - click here for a closer look |
Take a seatH J Berry & Sons, a long-standing client, is one of the few remaining UK furniture manufacturers, making high quality traditional and contemporary wooden furniture for the contract and retail sectors. They approached us to take shots for a new brochure aimed at the retail sector, centred on a lifestyle theme to showcase their extensive product range. A wonderful country house in Lancashire was hired for the occasion, which provided the ideal backdrop to the quality craftsmanship of the furniture and complemented these shots with images taken in our studio in specially created room sets. The end result was printed on textured paper to give a high quality feel and will help raise H J Berry's profile and confirm their position as the leading British furniture makers. click here for a closer look |
Bringing history to lifeRecently a number of architects and design agencies have asked to see our work on restoration projects. Photographing architectural restoration is one of our specialities and we were delighted to oblige. When undertaking these projects it is always our aim to bring history to life: to show how the architects and designers have captured the history and presence from an old and often dilapidated building and created something new and exciting. Here are some before and after shots from several of our favourite projects.click here for a closer look |
