Never work with children.. ..unless of course you have to photograph a building designed for them. At a new nursery in Crewe, the architect wanted to record the design and effective usage of the building. Having completed the external shots which you see here. |

I had just set up a view from the inside looking out when some of the ‘consumers’ arrived. Good fortune sometimes comes our way, and I was poised ready for action. |

Having obtained all the appropriate permissions, organised the model release forms, etc we now have a particularly special record of the usage of a building. |

We have the technology! What you may not realise in looking at this image is that it is a composite of three images. My client was justly proud of their work in a huge chemical plant and needed to record the achievement in their portfolio. My brief was to show the detail and complexity of the pipework within the fabric of the building. I had to plan the separate lighting of three levels to avoid shadows and moods, then manipulate the photographs of each to produce this final image. The result proves we have the technology - and the technical ability. |
