News from Ian Bruce Photography

Dear [firstname,fallback=subscriber]

Spring has definitely sprung, but winter has certainly not been a time of hibernation for Ian Bruce Photography. Here are some examples of my recent work that I know will interest you. They show the variety of work we get involved in.

Not like that when I went to school..

Are you familiar with the latest designs for schools? Christ the King Centre for Learning has just opened in Merseyside and it's a building that reflects a whole new way of thinking about how children best learn. There are lots of open plan spaces and a great sense of light.

We had just ten days from the initial briefing by the architects to completion of the finished images. Our work included a site 'recce', selecting the preferred views from our test shots, organising the technical aspects, working round the syllabus, obtaining the necessary legal clearances for photographing children - all with minimum disruption and maximum effect. We undertook any appropriate retouching in our studio and presented our results on time and within budget. Full marks for Ian Bruce Photography.

The Home Office..

A Lancashire barrister wanted a self contained office at home so he employed a small firm of architects to create his dream. On completion the architects naturally wanted to use the project for promoting their work. They came to us as an accredited supplier to Arcaid, the photographic library who supplies architectural and interior design images to international editorial and publishing houses. As one of Arcaid's preferred photographers, any of our work that we submit on behalf of a client can instantly become available to some of the most prestigious magazines in their field.

There is actually half an hour's difference in the background and the foreground photography to capture the appropriate lighting levels, followed by a bit of time in our retouching studio to 'comp' the images. The result - another success for a small budget, big impact project and an established route to getting coverage in the architectural press.

A prominent new development of apartments has just been completed by a team of North West property developers, international architects and Manchester interior designers. The team called in Ian Bruce Photography to show off their work and to convey stylish living in spacious, contemporary surroundings. We set to work for a day, creating the right ambience with lighting levels, styling some shots with props and capturing some special design features, including the fabulous felt finish you see here on a wardrobe door.

Warning!
All the images we supply have been fully colour calibrated ready for professional use. You may experience some tonal variation if the equipment you use is not also fully calibrated. I'd be delighted to show you the images on my own 'mega-tech' (!) equipment to enable you to see them in their best light.
