Here we are well into 2008 - hope the year holds great prospects for you. Have a look at this small selection of my recent work: an exterior shot, an interior shot and an example of retouching genius - only at Ian Bruce Photography!
We shall overcome
Having planned a large, high profile re-development of Sheffield city centre, the property developer wanted me to record the scale of the project and the number of cranes used in a compact area. The best vantage point meant that I had to photograph directly into the sun and overcome the difficulties of contrasting light conditions. As you can see, I did it! A measure of the client's approval is that my pictures have been used extensively in the press, and that this picture is on a 1m square print in the client's boardroom.
We did it!
This is one of a series of 12 shots taken in a day with my high end digital equipment for an architectural practice who designed a Post 16 college facility in Nottinghamshire. Such buildings nowadays have to be highly multi-functional with the maximum effective use of space. I was able to identify several good camera angles to portray the use of space in this new generation building. It's a testimony to the architect on how well the building is used - and to the photographer that he's captured it so effectively!
Testing times in the lab
Digital photography with our really high end kit enables us to create excellent effects; add to that the creative use of lighting and props that we're renowned for and we can create rather special effects too. Here in a university laboratory, the client really appreciated the effective use of colour and the way he felt I had created real interest in a busy, practical and clinical area.

All the images we supply have been fully colour calibrated ready for professional use. You may experience some tonal variation if the equipment you use is not also fully calibrated. I'd be delighted to show you the images on my own 'mega-tech' (!) equipment to enable you to see them in their best light.
