Red Snapper News Bites 11.05 - We're at number One!

Getting personal
One of the skills we're most proud of is our ability to bring a subject to life – to really bring out its personality. This month you can see how we've achieved this in three different ways: a corporate flagship project, a very special new home and getting up close and personal in our own promotional material for the Manchester Art Show.

Regular client Dinosaur commissioned us to visit flagship project One Piccadilly at Piccadilly Gardens in Manchester to shoot some images for a new leaflet they were producing. The pictures were needed to promote the last two retail units available to let in the development, so it was important that they portrayed a busy and thriving location.

The images had to capture One Piccadilly's unrivalled position as the prominent centrepiece of the remodelled and rejuvenated Piccadilly district. On the one hand we needed to demonstrate the 'mass appeal' of the superb location whilst also highlighting its attraction to the more discerning shopper/diner due to the eclectic mix of specialist independent retailers and restaurateurs within the development. We feel the shots met the brief in a fresh and contemporary way; we hope you agree.

This beautiful country house is the creation of architects Julian Bicknell & Associates. Designed on a Georgian theme, the mansion may be a new build, but has all the grace and charm of a home that has existed for hundreds of years. The architects commissioned us to shoot a series of photographs that would capture the essence of the project and that they could use to publicise their work.

The architects' imaginative use of materials and interpretation of space, combined with their client's superb interior design, creates a stunning home. The interior and exterior shots, abstract images and close up details got the new owner so excited that she has decided to turn them into an album as a birthday present for her husband!

October saw us raising our own profile at the Manchester Art Show – the North's premier art fair – brilliantly organised by Engaging Arts. As both patrons of and official photographers for the show, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, seeing many old friends and making many new ones over the four days. We took the opportunity to showcase some of our own work and got up close and personal on our show flyer.
