![]() Red Snapper News Bites September 2007 It's never too late Recently we had the coincidence of two architects' practices each commissioning photography of a building long after completion. Here's proof that we can do "good as new". Photography and retouching specialists both work together at IBP to ensure your work is portrayed in the best possible light - literally. It's a winning combination of creative genius at Ian Bruce Photography. |

A library that speaks out! A leading firm of Manchester architects realised they'd left unrecorded the work they'd done in creating a new IT suite and library facilities in Ashton Sixth Form College. So we set about creating a retrospective shot to capture atmosphere, the interior space and the building itself. What you don't see is the general wear and tear and the weathering of the building; you won't spot how we overcame mixed lighting and the challenge of nighttime photography. What you do see is the result of creative architectural photography and skilful retouching by IBP. Libraries are known for their quiet but we think this image speaks volumes. |

Make me an offer This is my take on Manchester's Beetham Tower. I wanted to give it a sculptural feel, to help people appreciate the form of the building, the way it can look like it's reaching into the sky. I wasn't commissioned to do this, but I couldn't resist working on this image. On the 8th of October it will be sent to an international picture library, unless you make me a better offer! |

Making the ordinary extraordinary Another retrospective shot in another Sixth Form College for another firm of Manchester architects. This time I showed my creative interpretation of space using texture, light and shade in just one shot. Just look at the building's reflections on the tables, all creating atmosphere in a public space. The client was delighted, and so was I. |
